Cost of college went up for all students at Morningside College

Tuition and fees rose 3.8 percent for 2018-19 at Morningside College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Iowa students paid $31,530 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,040 more than the $30,490 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 354 students received grants or scholarships totaling $7.2 million and 276 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,698), 1,263 students used grants or scholarships totaling $25.4 million, and 963 students took out $6.9 million in federal student loans.
