City of Sioux City issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.
A new, smaller garbage container is now available for low-volume users. A 65-gallon tote may now be requested at $14.95 per month. To take advantage of this rate, the 65-gallon container must be the only solid waste container billed to the customer account. If there is any combination of different sized containers, residents will be billed at a higher rate.

Recycling continues to be available to customers at no additional charge. Containers may be requested through Gill Hauling or the website above.
