The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Michael Franken, Franken for Iowa, refunded $1,000 to James W. Mcfarlane on May 18, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: 'Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company'.

Franken for Iowa refunded $5,010 total since December 1, 2019.
