CITY OF STORM LAKE: Tulip Lane Project Update

Construction

City of Storm Lake issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.

As the City of Storm Lake and Reding’s Gravel & Excavating Co. continue to progress with the reconstruction of Tulip Lane, you will notice changes in construction activities in the coming days and weeks. Travel and parking continue to be prohibited on the roadway.

Construction Updates:

  • The contractor has completed the underground utilities and will begin turning their focus to paving the new street.
  • Please continue to coordinate any special access needs to your home with the on-site construction representative. Concrete requires time to strengthen. Please refrain from walking or driving on new concrete until it has been opened to the public. The difference between fresh concrete and fully cured concrete is imperceptible.
 Work Area:

We ask that you please be respectful of and stay well clear of construction zones. Many hazards and dangers exist from heavy machinery, loose material, confined spaces, etc. and often times are not recognizable by the general public. The Contractor has the responsibility to ensure safety on the project and within the construction area. Any direction from the Contractor regarding safety must be heeded; likewise, if you observe an unsafe condition please report to the Construction Representative immediately.

Construction Information:

Informational updates will be provided periodically throughout the duration of the project. Questions or concerns can be addressed to Bolton & Menk at:
