Siouxland Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

ServSafe Food Safety Training

Certification for Foodservice Managers and Workers

Topics include:

  • Providing Safe Food
  • Contamination and Food Allergens
  • The Safe Food Handler
  • Flow of Food: Purchasing, Receiving, Storage
  • Flow of Food: Preparation and Service
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • Pest Management
  • Facilities and Equipment
  • Food Safety Management Systems

Meets Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) requirements.

A Photo ID is required to take certification exam.

2021 Scholarship Classes

(Limited number of scholarships available. When gone, registrations will be full price of $160.)

FEBRUARY 9 (snow date 2/11/21)

ISU Extension and Outreach-Woodbury County

4728 Southern Hills Drive, Sioux City, IA

Class is 8:30am - 5:30pm (lunch on your own)

Scholarship Application must be submitted by December 19.

ATTEND THE CLASS AT NO COST TO YOU!

  1. Complete the online scholarship application - https://tinyurl.com/y3q3mdd8
  2. The Iowa Restaurant Association (IRA) will contact you to confirm scholarship and ask the date/location you would like to attend class. Tell them Feb. 9 in Sioux City.
  3. The IRA will register you for class. Do not register yourself or you will be responsible for paying the $160 class fee.
  4. Iowa State University will email confirmation of your registration in the class.
