The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Michael Franken, Franken for Iowa, refunded $2,800 to Wendell Sandbulte on September 8, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: 'Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company'.

Franken for Iowa refunded $17,247 total since April 1.
