Western Iowa Tech Community College recently issued the following announcement.
Members of the LGBTQ+ Alliance Club hosted a special event in recognition of National Coming Out Day.
The Alliance Club, along with WITCC’s Office of Inclusion, aimed to spread knowledge of the issues facing the LGBTQ+ community and support members of the community at WITCC. In addition to handing out information and prizes, the Alliance Club organized a panel of speakers from the LGBTQ+ community who shared their personal experiences of coming out.
They also discussed ways in which WITCC can create a safe, supportive environment for LGBTQ+ students.
