Sioux

City of Sioux City issued the following announcement on November 4.

The Sioux City Art Center is accepting submissions for its triennial art auction, known as ARTcetera. All artists who are 18 or older may submit up to three artworks for consideration. All entries must be received by November 21. A committee of art collectors and professionals will make the final determination of which artworks will be included in ARTcetera and will notify artists by December 15. ARTcetera will open for public viewing on February 26, 2022, with the auction taking place on April 2.

Participating artists will be able to select to keep 50% or 25% of the final bid for their artworks. The remaining portion will be retained by the Art Center Association of Sioux City to assist with the funding of exhibitions, educational programming, and other activities of the Sioux City Art Center. Artists also have the option of making the final bid a full donation to the Art Center Association.
