City of Alta issued the following announcement on November 9.
The Mayor of Alta proclaimed the winter snow ordinance “Parking Ban” is in effect immediately, until further notice. GENERALLY, the Parking Ban in Alta runs Nov. 1 – April 1.
GENERAL PROVISIONS:
No Parking on City Streets between the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M.
No Parking in the 100 and 200 blocks of Main St. between 2:30 A.M. and 6:00 A.M.
No Parking on East 2nd and West 2nd from Main St. to Prospect St. and from Main St. to Cherokee St. between 2:30 A.M. and 6:00 A.M.
This order is to facilitate the removal of snow from City streets. Violations will result in a parking citation and/or tow.
