Storm Drain Art is a pilot program for artists to show off their skills and assist the City of Storm Lake in providing information to the citizens and visitors of Storm Lake.
Through artwork, the public can be informed and educated as a reminder to where these drains lead. Storm Drains lead to the lake and placing anything but water down the drains affects the water quality of the lake which in turn could cause issues with water fowl and vegetation.
The Storm Drain Art located at 523 Lake Avenue was done by Mick Polich. The City very much appreciates Mr. Polich’s efforts and participation in the program. This is a great example of being Storm Lake Proud!
Being Storm Lake Proud is not one day, one week, one month or one event. Being Storm Lake Proud is a magnificent lifestyle! More information about the City of Storm Lake can be found on the city’s website at www.stormlake.org.
