Cherokee Regional Medical Center will open Cherokee Regional Physical Therapy of Marcus on Friday, June 10, 2022. After much planning and preparation, this new provider-based physical therapy clinic location is ready to serve patients.
The address of the new Marcus Physical Therapy Clinic is 401 North Main Street, Suite #104. However, even though the address is officially on North Main Street, the clinic entrance faces Cedar Street and is located approximately half a block west of Main Street (next to Mike’s Barber Shop). The clinic initially will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00 pm -4:30 pm.
Cherokee Regional officials are also very excited to announce that Marcus native, Anna Erdman, DPT, has joined Cherokee Regional’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department. She will be the primary therapist at the Marcus location.
Erdman received her Bachelor’s Degree from Iowa State University in 2011 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in 2014. Since becoming a Physical Therapist, she has enjoyed working in the local area providing a high level therapy services to a diverse patient base.
“I enjoy working with my patients using a combination of hands-on techniques and exercise to help them achieve their mobility goals,” Erdman stated. “I am passionate about helping patients gain confidence with their body movement and empowering them so that they can return to activities they enjoy.”
New equipment has quickly filled the new physical therapy space including: NuStep recumbent cross trainer, treadmill, Airdyne bike, shuttle press, kettlebells, dumbbells and varying other weights and rehabilitation tools.
“I am very excited to add Anna to our talented team of clinicians at Cherokee Regional and I am looking forward to starting our physical therapy clinic in Marcus. Anna is a well-rounded therapist and is excited to offer her talents to her hometown,” said Cherokee Regional Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Manager Kayla Koch. “She has additional training in dry needling and special interests in post-operative rehabilitation, neck and low back pain, headaches, pregnant and postpartum women, geriatrics and fall prevention. Additionally, Anna is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and LSVT BIG® certified clinician.”
Erdman will work closely with Cherokee Regional Medical Center and the Marcus Medical Clinic (provided by Cherokee Regional) to ensure her patients receive the best care possible. Appointments can be made at Cherokee Regional Physical Therapy of Marcus by calling 712-376-1015 or 712-225-1502.
