Tire Take Back Event
The City of Sioux City Environmental Services, in cooperation with Gill Hauling, Inc., will host a Tire Take Back event for the residents of Sioux City. This is in response to the City’s commitment to expand upon litter clean-up efforts and assist neighborhoods in working towards a clean and safe living area.
The Tire Take Back event is scheduled for Saturday, August 20 at the Long Lines Family Rec Center parking lot next to Pierce Street. Tires may be dropped off between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Each vehicle may drop off up to six (6) tires.
No tires on rims preferred.
No agricultural, industrial, or commercial type tires will be accepted.
This event is for residents only, NO BUSINESSES.
The following items will NOT be accepted: Electronic items (televisions, computers, etc.), paint or chemicals of any kind, construction materials, batteries, and automotive fluids. Contact the Citizen’s Convenience Center (CCC) for disposal of hazardous materials at 402-414-4179.
