The Stone Park Boulevard Reconstruction project, which started in April 2022, will reconstruct the roadway and sidewalks from West Clifton Avenue to Broken Kettle Road. City utilities such as water, storm, and sanitary sewer will also be replaced along with a box culvert crossing Stone Park Boulevard east of Broken Kettle Road.
On or about August 29, 2022, Stage 2 of the Stone Park Boulevard Reconstruction Project from West Clifton Avenue to Broken Kettle Road will begin and run concurrently with the remainder of Stage 1 work. Stage 2 consists of 3 substages to be completed sequentially to maintain access to Rebecca Street and to maintain traffic along Broken Kettle Road.
The entire project is planned to be constructed in multiple stages over the 2022 and 2023 construction season. Stage 1 closed Stone Park Boulevard from West Clifton Avenue to Aspenwood Street. This stage started in April 2022 and is anticipated to open in September 2022. Stage 2A will replace the box culvert under Stone Park Boulevard east of Broken Kettle Road. Stage 2A is anticipated to start August 29, 2022. Stage 2B and 2C will reconstruct Broken Kettle Road, these stages will be phased with a temporary signal to always allow for traffic on Broken Kettle Road. These stages are anticipated to be under construction through fall of 2022. Stage 3 will complete the reconstruction on Stone Park Boulevard from Aspenwood Street to Rebecca Street. Stage 3 is scheduled for the 2023 construction season.
During project closures a detour route along West Clifton Avenue from Stone Park Boulevard to Broken Kettle Road will be posted. Local access will also be maintained from Aspenwood Street during Stage 1 and Stage 2A closures.
