The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the resumption of work on the of the Dace Avenue Bridge Reconstruction – Bridge Deck Replacement Project on Monday, April 3, 2023. Remaining work to be completed on the bridge includes barrier rails, installation of light poles, and approach paving.
The remaining work will be completed in one stage and will close Dace Avenue to all traffic from Floyd Boulevard to Bluff Road. All work is anticipated to be completed by June 2023. The Dace Avenue Bridge Reconstruction project was awarded to Dixon Construction, April 4, 2022 in the amount of $2,852,286.70.
A detour utilizing Floyd Boulevard, 4th Street, and Lewis Boulevard will be posted. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, drive cautiously, and obey all traffic control signs with regards to this closure.
