The City of Sioux City Engineering Division announces the start of the Dodge Avenue Reconstruction Project from South Rustin Street to South Cecelia Street for the 2023construction season. The contractor plans to begin construction on or about April 3, 2023, weather pending.
The Dodge Avenue Reconstruction Project will reconstruct the roadway and sidewalks from South Rustin Street to South Cecelia Street. City utilities such as water, storm, and sanitarysewers will also be replaced.
This project will be constructed in a single stage. During the project, a detour route along South Rustin Street, Jay Avenue, and South Cecelia Street will be posted. The intersection of SouthCecelia Street is planned to remain open during this project.
The Dodge Avenue Reconstruction Project was awarded to Steve Harris Construction, Inc. on January 9, 2023 in the amount of $2,350,950.59. This project is funded with both local funds andan Iowa Department of Transportation Surface Transportation Block Grant.
