WASHINGTON, D.C. – On April 20, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. This legislation requires school athletic programs – which receive taxpayer dollars – to fully comply with Title IX protections for women and girls, including recognizing individuals’ gender at birth for athletic purposes. Feenstra is an original cosponsor.

“It is common sense that men should compete against men and women should compete against women in sports,” said Rep. Feenstra. “At its core, this legislation preserves fairness in sports and defends our daughters and granddaughters from liberal attempts to destroy their opportunities and discount their achievements. As a father of two daughters who played high school sports, I proudly voted to protect women’s and girls’ right to compete on a fair playing field.”
