WASHINGTON, D.C. – On June 13, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act. This legislation will stop any attempt by the Biden Administration’s Consumer Product Safety Commission to ban gas stoves in American homes, end their continued sale, or impose burdensome red tape that would effectively make gas stoves unaffordable.
“The Biden Administration’s proposed ban on gas stoves – which are utilized by nearly 187 million Americans nationwide – is just another out-of-touch attack on our families, farmers, and communities who are struggling from record inflation, rising interest rates, and economic uncertainty spurred by wasteful government spending,” said Rep. Feenstra. “Instead of banning our stoves, President Biden should ban China from buying our farmland, ban boys from competing against girls in sports, and ban welfare for illegal immigrants. Republicans will continue to oppose the Biden Administration’s reckless agenda and stand with the American people in our mission to build a stronger economy for every family.”
