Transit to Provide Bus Service to Saturday in the Park Music Festival

Sioux City Transit will provide bus service to and from the Saturday in the Park music festival from the Tyson Events Center parking lot on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until approximately 11:30 p.m. 

Public Transit Bus Route: Pick up and drop off in front of the Tyson Events Center main entrance, 401 Gordon Drive, and south entrance of Grandview Park at 24th Street.

Bus Fares:

  • Adult - $1.80 one-way trip or $3.60 round trip
  • Student - $1.55 one-way trip or $3.10 round trip.
  • Senior Citizen & Disabled - $0.90 one-way trip or $1.80 round trip.
  • Children Under Five - Free with an adult
NEW IN 2023! A Daily Pass is now available, allowing riders to take multiple trips during a single day as marked on the ticket at the time of purchase. The Daily Pass is priced to fall between the current price of two (2) and three (3) single rides, on Fixed Route service.

Day Pass Pricing:

  • Adult - $5.00
  • Senior Citizen - $2.00
  • Disability - $2.00
  • Student - $4.00
It is recommended that you purchase your return ride token in advance. Drivers will accept cash but cannot make change. Fare Tokens will be sold throughout the day at the Tyson Events Center stop.

Music festival patrons are encouraged to use the special event transit bus route to and from Grandview Park, the site of Saturday in the Park Event. Parking around Grandview Park is limited and traffic congestion is significant for blocks around the event. 

The best option is to park vehicles at the Tyson Events Center / Long Lines Family Recreation Center or the River’s Landing Parking Ramp at 5th & Douglas and ride the special events bus.
