Census Bureau: 1.3% of people in Plymouth County identified as multiracial in 2021

Of the 25,543 citizens living in Plymouth County in 2021, 98.7% said they were only one race, while 1.3% said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in June.

The most prevalent racial group among citizens in Plymouth County who reported being of a single race in 2021 was white, comprising 93.6% or 23,903 individuals.

The percentage of multiracial residents in Plymouth County is 2.6% lower than the state average, which stands at 3.9%.
