Census Bureau: 73.8% of people in Buena Vista County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 20,723 citizens living in Buena Vista County in 2021, 73.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 15,293 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 7,854 were male, constituting 51.4%, and 7,439 were female, making up 48.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Buena Vista County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
