WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) has voiced his support for the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act and has cast his vote to advance this legislation out of the House Ways and Means Committee. The purpose of this bill is to counter the Biden administration's attempts to restrict funding for pregnancy resource centers through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

"As a father of four and a Christian, I believe that God created every person for a reason to further His Kingdom. On my 36 County Tour, I have toured pregnancy centers – in places like Sioux Center and Storm Lake – that provide expecting mothers with exceptional care and the support that they deserve. Unfortunately, the Biden administration’s proposed rule to prevent pregnancy centers from using TANF funds would be catastrophic," expressed Rep. Feenstra. He further added, "Instead of delivering outstanding maternal healthcare for pregnant women, the Biden administration would rather steer taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood and other organizations that promote the Democrats’ abortion-on-demand agenda. It’s shameful. I’m proud to support this legislation to stand with pregnancy centers, uplift expecting mothers, and defend the unborn."
