WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) has taken a stand to provide tax relief for Iowa families, farmers, and small businesses. Last Friday, Feenstra voted to advance the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act out of the House Ways and Means Committee, paving the way for its consideration on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Feenstra's decision to support this legislation stems from his concern over President Biden's spending policies, which he believes have contributed to the worst inflation crisis in over forty years and soaring gas prices. In Feenstra's view, the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act is the answer to these pressing issues.

In his own words, Feenstra stated, "Iowa families need relief from President Biden's wasteful spending policies that fueled the worst inflation crisis in over forty years and sent gas prices soaring. My vote for the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act delivers this tax relief, supports our small businesses, and strengthens our economy."

The bill not only aims to provide tax relief but also includes provisions to address other pressing needs in the community. Feenstra highlights that the legislation will support the construction of affordable homes in rural communities, expand the child tax credit to help families with raising their children, and lower taxes for hardworking individuals in Iowa.

Moreover, Feenstra emphasizes the bill's significance for the agricultural sector and businesses, particularly in their competition with China. The legislation allows farms, businesses, and manufacturers to purchase necessary equipment, invest in cutting-edge research and development, hire new employees, and maintain profitability. In Feenstra's words, "It also helps our farms, businesses, and manufacturers compete with China by allowing them to purchase needed equipment, invest in cutting-edge research and development, hire new employees, and keep their operations profitable."

As a strong advocate for tax relief, Feenstra is proud to support this economic package, which he believes will create jobs, stimulate economic growth, enable families to retain more of their hard-earned money, and help Iowa's farms and businesses succeed in the face of competition from China.
