WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, a congressional resolution denouncing the Biden administration’s radical immigration policies that have created the worst border crisis in our nation’s history.
In a statement, Rep. Feenstra expressed his strong stance against President Biden's immigration policies, stating, "President Biden has the power to end the border crisis by restarting construction on the border wall, ending ‘catch-and-release’ policies, and reinstating the ‘Remain in Mexico’ program, but he refuses." He further highlighted the impact of these policies, mentioning that "more than 7.2 million illegal immigrants have unlawfully crossed our border, 340 terrorists have been apprehended at our border, and over 20,000 Chinese nationals have been encountered at our border."
Feenstra continued by condemning the consequences of the open-border policies implemented by the Biden administration, emphasizing, "I strongly denounce the Biden administration’s open-border policies that have allowed deadly fentanyl to flood our rural communities and terrorists to infiltrate our country." He emphasized the need to secure the border, complete the border wall, and ensure that drug traffickers are held accountable for their actions.
The resolution passed by the U.S. House of Representatives reflects the growing concerns over the current state of immigration policies and border security in the country.
