U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra has introduced new legislation aimed at making E-15 fuel available year-round and nationwide. The bill, known as the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act of 2024, seeks to allow for the permanent sale of E-15 at gas stations across the country.
“Making E-15 available permanently at gas stations year-round and nationwide will lower gas prices for our families, support our farmers and ethanol producers, and reduce our reliance on foreign countries for our energy needs,” said Rep. Feenstra. “I’m glad to support legislation that will ensure that Americans can fill up their gas tanks with low-cost E-15 and give our farmers another market for their product. With inflation still prevalent and low commodity prices hurting our producers, year-round E-15 will lower costs for our families, strengthen Iowa agriculture, and bolster our energy security.”
