U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra, a Republican from Hull, supported the passage of the Never Again Education Reauthorization Act in the U.S. House of Representatives. This legislation, initially signed into law by President Trump in 2020, will be extended through Fiscal Year 2030.
Rep. Feenstra emphasized the importance of Holocaust education amid rising antisemitism both domestically and globally. "As antisemitism increases across our country and around the world, it is critical that we teach the next generation of Americans about the horrors of the Holocaust," he stated.
Feenstra highlighted the significance of remembering those who suffered under Nazi persecution: "The death and destruction that occurred at the hands of the Nazis must never be forgotten." He expressed his support for educating children about this historical atrocity to honor over six million victims and prevent future tragedies. "We must never forget the lives lost and never let such a tragedy happen again," Feenstra concluded.
