Today, U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra issued a statement following the certification of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States.
Feenstra highlighted Trump's election victory on November 5th, noting that it was supported by over 77 million Americans. He stated, “His vision of secure borders, economic prosperity, energy dominance, and global security resonated with Iowans and Americans everywhere.”
The official certification marks the beginning of efforts to advance what Feenstra described as an "America First agenda." According to him, with Republican control in Congress and Trump in the White House, priorities will include securing borders, reducing wasteful spending, reauthorizing tax cuts from Trump's previous term, confronting China, and supporting farmers and producers.
Feenstra concluded his remarks by emphasizing the immediate work ahead under this administration.
