Last week, U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra from Hull introduced legislation aimed at making E-15 fuel available year-round at gas stations across the United States. The move is part of an ongoing effort to promote biofuels and reduce reliance on foreign energy sources.
Feenstra stated, "Since I was first elected to Congress, I have worked to advocate for homegrown Iowa biofuels, promote American energy independence, and lower energy costs for our families." He emphasized the benefits of E-15 fuel in terms of cost savings and support for local agriculture: "Homegrown fuels like E-15 lower gas prices for our families, support our farm producers, and reduce our dependence on foreign energy from countries like China, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela."
The proposed legislation has been introduced with the support of other Midwestern lawmakers who share a commitment to promoting domestic energy solutions.
