U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra commenced his fifth biannual 36 County Tour with a town hall meeting in Cherokee, Iowa. During the event, Feenstra discussed his congressional efforts for Iowa and addressed questions from local residents.
“Today, I launched my fifth biannual 36 County Tour with a town hall in Cherokee to hear from Iowans and discuss my work in Congress for our families, farmers, businesses, and rural communities," said Rep. Feenstra. He emphasized discussions on "President Trump’s America First agenda of securing our border and restoring American energy independence" along with the need to extend the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, pass the Farm Bill, repeal the death tax, and enhance government accountability.
Feenstra reiterated his commitment to listening to constituents and representing their concerns in Congress. “Meeting with Iowans and taking their voice to Congress is a top priority for me," he stated. He also expressed anticipation for future town halls aimed at addressing cost reductions for families, supporting small businesses' growth, and aiding farmers.
Following this initial town hall in Cherokee, Feenstra planned additional meetings: one with students in Ida Grove later that day and another with the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce the following day.
Since 2021, Feenstra has made over 320 stops on his 36 County Tour across Iowa.
