On February 27, 2025, U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra supported a joint resolution in the House of Representatives aimed at overturning a ban on gas-fired water heaters introduced during the Biden administration.

Rep. Feenstra expressed his stance by stating, "Alongside my Republican colleagues, I voted to overturn a Biden-era ban on gas-fired water heaters. This mandate only increases prices, reduces consumer choice, and makes everyday life costlier for no reason." He further added that "House Republicans are working to eliminate unnecessary and burdensome regulations and lower costs for American families, farmers, and businesses."

The approval of this resolution marks a step by House Republicans towards reducing what they view as regulatory overreach impacting economic factors such as pricing and consumer options.
