U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra, a Republican from Hull, voted in favor of a resolution aimed at blocking regulations on household appliances introduced during the Biden administration. The U.S. House of Representatives passed this resolution, which targets rules affecting items such as washing machines, dishwashers, air conditioning units, and heaters.

Rep. Feenstra stated, "After four years of the Biden administration’s tax-and-spend policies that sent inflation skyrocketing, our families need relief from costly regulations and red tape. That’s why I voted to block Biden-era regulations on household appliances like washing machines, dishwashers, air conditioning units, and heaters that would raise prices for our families and increase costs for domestic manufacturers."

He emphasized that decisions regarding household appliances should be made by individuals rather than the federal government. As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Feenstra expressed his commitment to reducing costs for Iowa residents by extending tax cuts from the Trump era, enhancing American energy production, and eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles.
