Today, U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra expressed gratitude towards the Trump administration following an announcement by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The statement revealed that the individual responsible for the death of Sarah Root, a 21-year-old from Iowa, in 2016 is being extradited back to the United States.
Rep. Feenstra stated, “I thank President Trump and Secretary Rubio for extraditing the illegal immigrant who killed Sarah Root nearly a decade ago back to the United States. This is a day that the Root family has long waited for, and now, this vicious criminal will face the consequences of his actions.”
Feenstra also referenced "Sarah's Law," signed earlier this year by President Trump. He noted that it ensures illegal immigrants who harm or kill Americans are detained without bail and prosecuted fully. "Evading accountability is no longer an option," he added.
