U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra has announced the reopening of the Charter Oak Post Office, which had been closed for over a year. The closure had prompted repeated inquiries from Feenstra's office to the Consumer Affairs Manager for the Iowa-Nebraska-South Dakota USPS District during winter and spring.

Feenstra expressed satisfaction with the reopening, stating, "Following repeated requests by our office, I’m glad that the Charter Oak Post Office has finally reopened after more than a year of closure." He emphasized that taxpayers fund USPS and should have convenient access to postal services. "These delays are unacceptable," he added, highlighting his commitment to ensuring rural communities receive necessary services like mail delivery and bill payments.

Earlier in January, Feenstra played a role in reopening the Rock Valley Post Office following persistent efforts and a personal visit in December. Additionally, last October saw another successful intervention by Feenstra when he facilitated the reopening of Storm Lake Post Office after it was closed due to damage from a car accident.

Feenstra reaffirmed his dedication to serving Iowans: "Delivering for Iowans remains my top priority, and I will continue to advocate for our rural communities in Congress."
