U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra, a Republican from Hull, has expressed his support for the ACES Act by voting in favor of it. This legislation mandates the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to investigate the occurrence of cancer among veterans who served as active-duty aircrew members in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Rep. Feenstra emphasized the importance of providing healthcare to veterans exposed to toxic chemicals during their service. He stated, “Providing our veterans, especially those who were exposed to toxic chemicals, with the high-quality healthcare that they have earned is non-negotiable. These patriotic and selfless Americans answered the call to serve our country and protect the freedoms that we hold dear. Caring for these men and women after their service is our duty as a grateful nation.”

He further explained his decision to support this legislation: “That’s why I voted for legislation to study the prevalence of cancer in U.S. troops who served as active-duty aircrew where exposure to chemicals and other synthetic compounds is a real risk. In Congress, I will always be a strong voice for our veterans and their families.”
