Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa's 4th district since 2021, recently shared insights on legislative developments through a series of tweets. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra has been active in political service since his tenure in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021.

On June 17, 2025, Feenstra emphasized the significance of rural America's support for former President Trump. He stated that "Last November, Rural America voted in landslide numbers for President Trump." He further elaborated that Trump's "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" is designed to foster prosperity in rural communities by prioritizing and supporting them under his administration.

In another tweet on the same day, Feenstra described the essence of Trump's bill as fulfilling promises. He wrote that "President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' can be summed up in four words: Promises made, promises kept." The legislation is touted as delivering substantial tax cuts for working and middle-class families across America.

Later that day, Feenstra announced a new legislative initiative aimed at reducing broadband costs. He introduced the Lowering Broadband Costs for Consumers Act with an emphasis on equitable contributions from tech companies. According to his tweet, "Big Tech companies use networks built & paid for by local communities but rarely contribute their fair share." The proposed bill aims to ensure these companies cover their portion of expenses related to high-speed broadband infrastructure development in rural Iowa.

Randy Feenstra's background includes graduating from Dordt University with a BA in 1991 and residing in Hull, Iowa.
