Randy Feenstra, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared his views on social media regarding President Trump's legislative initiative, the "One, Big, Beautiful Bill." Having replaced Steve King in Congress and with prior experience in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021, Feenstra has been vocal about his support for policies affecting family-owned enterprises and economic measures.

On July 7, 2025, Feenstra emphasized that "By increasing the exemption for the death tax, President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' ensures that family farms and family-owned businesses can be passed from one generation to the next." This suggests an intent to ease financial burdens on such enterprises through tax exemptions.

Later that day, he addressed accusations directed at Republicans by stating that "Democrats are lying about the 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill.' We are protecting Medicaid and SNAP for the most vulnerable in our communities. We are asking able-bodied adults without young children to work or volunteer a modest 20 hours per week to receive taxpayer-funded benefits." Herein lies a defense of welfare reform components within the bill aimed at promoting work among certain beneficiaries.

In another post from July 7th, "Gas prices are falling all over Iowa and nationwide! With President Trump’s 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' now the law of the land," he asserted that these developments would stimulate American energy production and reduce fuel costs further.

Randy Feenstra was born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and is an alumnus of Dordt University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991. He resides in Hull with his family.
