Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared updates on his recent meetings and legislative priorities in a series of tweets posted on July 16, 2025.

On July 16, Feenstra wrote about his meeting with Dr. Rodger Main, Director of the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab at Iowa State University: "Yesterday, I met with Dr. Rodger Main who is the Director of the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab at Iowa State University. He testified before @HouseAgGOP about the importance of the VDL & the National Animal Health Laboratory Network to defending Iowa ag from foreign animal diseases."

Later that day, Feenstra highlighted his engagement with young agricultural leaders: "I enjoyed chatting with Iowa FFA state officers and hearing about their experience in FFA and their plans for the future. These young Iowans play critical roles in our communities and make important contributions to our great state. I appreciate their passion for Iowa!"

In another tweet posted on July 16, Feenstra discussed his discussions with representatives from Iowa Corn: "It was great to sit down with @iowacorn and talk about the wins we secured for corn farmers in President Trump’s 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill.' We also talked about getting year-round #E15 passed and signed into law as well as our work to open new export markets for Iowa corn."

Feenstra has served in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021 after previously serving in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, he continues to reside there today and is a graduate of Dordt University.
