Today, U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra attended a White House ceremony for the signing of the HALT Fentanyl Act. Following the event, Rep. Feenstra released a statement expressing his support for the legislation.

"I applaud President Trump for signing into law the HALT Fentanyl Act and taking decisive action to keep fentanyl and other poisonous substances out of our country," said Feenstra. He highlighted that this legislation, alongside efforts to secure the border, will aid law enforcement in confiscating dangerous drugs and combating drug cartels. "Too many families have lost loved ones to an overdose, and this law will strengthen our mission to keep drugs out of our communities and away from our kids."

The HALT Fentanyl Act includes provisions that permanently classify all fentanyl-related substances under Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act.
