Rep. Randy Feenstra, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared updates on legislative activities and agricultural policy in a series of tweets posted on July 17, 2025.

On July 17, Feenstra highlighted his presence at the White House for the signing of new drug legislation. He wrote, "It was an honor to be at the White House when President Trump signed the HALT Fentanyl Act into law. Too many families have lost a loved one to an overdose. Now that the HALT Fentanyl Act is the law of the land, we will punish drug traffickers and save lives."

Later that day, Feenstra addressed economic policy on digital assets from the House floor. In his post, he stated, "Today, I spoke on the House floor in strong support of the CLARITY Act. We want digital asset innovation to happen in America and crypto jobs to be created in America – without ceding ground to foreign countries. The CLARITY Act unlocks economic growth & financial opportunity."

In another tweet later that afternoon, Feenstra discussed agricultural priorities following a meeting with Kelly Nieuwenhuis, an Iowa corn farmer active with state and national corn organizations. He wrote, "It was great to see my friend, Kelly Nieuwenhuis, who farms in Primghar and is very active with @iowa_corn and @NationalCorn. We had a productive conversation about the many wins for corn farmers in the 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' & our mission to make year-round #E15 permanent!"

Randy Feenstra has served as Iowa’s 4th District representative since replacing Steve King in 2021 and previously held office in the Iowa Senate from 2009 until his election to Congress.[source] Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there,[source] Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a BA in 1991.
