U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) announced that his office has helped secure nearly $1.2 million for the Fremont County Mule Slough Drainage District to repair infrastructure damaged by flooding in 2019.

“Following about six years of delays, I’m happy that our office could help the Fremont County Mule Slough Drainage District secure nearly $1.2 million to make needed repairs to infrastructure damaged by flooding in 2019. These dollars will help protect Fremont County taxpayers from increased fees to cover flood repairs and ensure that our communities have the resources they need to rebuild from past disasters,” said Rep. Feenstra. “I encourage Iowans to contact our office online at Feenstra.House.Gov or by phone at 202-225-4426 if we can be helpful with navigating the federal government, including VA benefits, Medicare, passports, and much more. We stand ready to help and find solutions to challenges facing our communities.”

Feenstra represents Iowa’s 4th district in Congress, a position he has held since replacing Steve King in 2021 (https://feenstra.house.gov/about). Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 until 2021 (https://www.congress.gov/member/randy-feenstra/F000446). Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra is now 54 years old and continues to reside there. He graduated from Dordt University with a bachelor’s degree in 1991.
