She continued by criticizing the renovation expenses at the Federal Reserve: "You can't ignore the 'Taj Mahal on the National Mall' renovation at the Fed that has soared from $1.9 billion to $3.1 billion. Ernst concluded her remarks by advocating for increased transparency regarding large-scale government spending: "Taxpayers deserve a comprehensive report like this every year to hold Washington accountable.
