Rep. Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, recently shared a series of updates on his official social media account regarding federal policy changes, international trade agreements, and local community events.
On July 30, 2025, Feenstra highlighted a new tax provision for seniors under President Trump’s proposed legislation. He stated, "President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' creates a new $6,000 tax deduction for seniors. This provision ensures that nearly 90% of Social Security recipients pay NO TAX on their benefits."
Later the same day, Feenstra commented on an international development involving the United States and South Korea. He wrote, "President Trump secured another trade deal for our country — this time with South Korea! Thanks to this agreement, South Korea will buy $100 billion worth of American energy and make investments into our economy to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. Promises kept!"
On July 31, 2025, Feenstra reported on a local event in Sioux Center attended by his office’s Ag & Manufacturing Liaison. He posted, "Today, our Ag & Manufacturing Liaison — Wes — attended the ribbon cutting for Central Vet Clinic’s new facility in Sioux Center. The clinic has 11 doctors on staff who work with large and small animals in a 100-mile radius, including Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Nebraska."
Randy Feenstra has served as U.S. Representative for Iowa's 4th District since replacing Steve King in 2021. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021 and is originally from Hull, Iowa. Feenstra graduated from Dordt University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
