She stated: "I’ve long fought for the Renewable Fuel Standard which supports Iowa’s biofuel producers while lowering costs at the pump and reducing our reliance on foreign oil. Over the last 20 years, the RFS has been essential to empowering heartland communities. Iowa farmers already feed".

On August 10, 2025, Ernst shared an experience from her hometown of Red Oak: "It was an honor to present a flag to one of Iowa's own World War II veterans this afternoon in my hometown of Red Oak. Thank you, Mr. Hays for your valiant service to our country. We are the land of the free because of the brave. "
