Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account between August 14 and August 15, 2025, highlighting community service initiatives and legislative achievements.
On August 14, Feenstra shared an example of local volunteerism: "Earlier today, our Director of Operations, Laura, and her mom volunteered with Meals on Wheels in their hometown of Rock Rapids — delivering food to seniors in need. It’s always great to see Iowans helping Iowans!" (posted at 01:07 UTC).
Later that day, he discussed efforts to assist veterans: "I’m glad my office & I could work with the Social Security Administration to ensure residents at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown could make changes to their direct deposit preferences over the phone. This fix will make life easier for our veterans." (posted at 17:26 UTC).
On August 15, Feenstra highlighted legislative action affecting Iowa agriculture: "We put a large portion of the Farm Bill into President Trump’s 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' to deliver immediate relief for farmers. From strengthening crop insurance to increasing reference prices, this law represents the largest investment in Iowa agriculture in decades." (posted at 15:47 UTC).
Randy Feenstra has served as U.S. Representative for Iowa's 4th district since replacing Steve King in 2021. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021 and holds a BA from Dordt University. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there.
