Senator Joni Ernst, representing Iowa, recently used her Twitter account to address a range of topics, including sports rivalries, legislative efforts on fraud enforcement, and developments affecting Iowa farmers.

On August 21, 2025, Ernst posted about an upcoming college football game, referencing her friendly rivalry with Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas. She wrote, "I can’t wait to enjoy a delicious Kansas steak from @RogerMarshallMD when my @CycloneFB beat @KStateFB!"

Later that day, Ernst commented on alleged misconduct within the Small Business Administration (SBA) during the COVID-19 pandemic. In her post dated August 21, 2025, she stated: "A former SBA bureaucrat abused her position to secure COVID cash while deserving Iowa small businesses were left out in the cold. Congress must pass my SBA Fraud Enforcement Extension Act to ensure every criminal like this is held accountable." The issue of fraud in federal pandemic relief programs has prompted ongoing legislative discussions about oversight and accountability.

On August 22, 2025, Ernst expressed support for Iowa's agricultural community by posting: "A massive win for Iowa farmers!" Agriculture is a significant sector in Iowa's economy and frequently features in the state's policy debates.

Senator Ernst has previously advocated for stronger enforcement against pandemic-related fraud and emphasized the importance of supporting small businesses and farmers in her home state.
