Joni Ernst, U.S. Senator from Iowa, recently highlighted her leadership in the Senate DOGE Caucus and ongoing efforts to address government spending through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).

On August 22, 2025, Ernst wrote, "I am proud to have led the Senate DOGE Caucus in racking up more than $15 billion worth of savings for the American people, and I am just getting started. There is a lot more waste, fraud, and abuse that I will soon be putting on the chopping block." The senator’s post referenced continued efforts to identify and eliminate inefficiencies within federal programs.

Later that day, Ernst extended personal congratulations to colleagues by posting, "Wishing a happy anniversary to my friends Barbara and @ChuckGrassley!" This message was directed at fellow Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley and his wife Barbara.

In another post on August 22, 2025, Ernst commented on a display of school spirit with the statement: "I see nothing wrong. They have the flag that matters, go Clones!"

Senator Joni Ernst has been known for her advocacy against government waste and support for fiscal responsibility. As one of Iowa's senators since 2015, she has consistently emphasized oversight of federal expenditures.
