Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, recently used his social media platform to highlight policy initiatives and community engagement activities. In a series of posts on September 9 and 10, Feenstra addressed tax cuts for working families, support for veterans, and advocacy for the agricultural sector.
On September 9, Feenstra wrote about President Trump’s tax policies: "President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts invest in Main Street.
Small businesses get to keep more of the money that they earn, allowing them to support their communities and create jobs.
With no tax on tips and overtime, employees also get big tax cuts for their hard work."
Later that day, he shared details of a meeting with leaders from the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW): "I enjoyed meeting with the new National Commander of the VFW, Carol Whitmore, who is the first Iowan elected to the position, and Michael Young, who serves as a National Legislative Committeeman from Iowa.
I will always stand with our veterans who are true American heroes! https://t.co/ZE4G5quKDN"
On September 10, Feenstra reported on discussions with members of an agricultural leadership program: "It was great to meet with members of the @IowaFarmBureau Ag Leaders Program.
We talked about passing a new Farm Bill, investing in homegrown Iowa biofuels, and opening new export markets for our agricultural products.
I’ll continue to be the strongest voice for agriculture! https://t.co/PZqQwCtVVO"
Feenstra has served in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021. Before his election to Congress, he represented northwest Iowa in the state Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree.
