Rep. Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on his social media account between September 10 and September 12, 2025. The posts included condolences for the passing of Charlie Kirk, a remembrance of the victims and first responders of September 11, and an announcement regarding an award from Growth Energy.
On September 10, Feenstra expressed sorrow at the news of Charlie Kirk's death: "I am devastated and heartbroken to learn of the passing of Charlie Kirk. May God grant his family comfort and may Charlie rest in peace."
The following day, marking the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Feenstra wrote: "Today, we pause to remember our fellow Americans who perished at the hands of vile terrorists on September 11, 2001. We also honor the brave first responders who charged toward danger to save others. Our thoughts and prayers remain with their families and loved ones."
On September 12, Feenstra shared news about receiving recognition from Growth Energy: "I’m honored to receive the 2025 Fueling Growth Award from @GrowthEnergy for my work supporting our farmers & biofuels producers. Homegrown Iowa biofuels lower prices at the pump, support our rural communities & help reduce our reliance on foreign countries for our energy needs."
Randy Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a Bachelor’s degree in 1991.
