Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on September 16, 2025, highlighting meetings and legislative efforts focused on healthcare and agriculture in Iowa.
In a tweet published at 16:55 UTC, Feenstra shared his engagement with healthcare professionals: "I enjoyed meeting with members of the Iowa Orthopaedic Society & the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons. We had an important discussion about investing in rural healthcare, making care more accessible for Iowans, and keeping healthcare professionals practicing in Iowa."
Later that day, at 18:15 UTC, Feenstra addressed issues relevant to Iowa's cattle industry: "It’s always good to sit down with @IAcattlemen & talk about our world-class cattle industry. We all agreed that we need to pass a new Farm Bill, improve the CRP for cattle producers & open new export markets for our beef. Iowa cattle producers make our rural communities strong!"
At 22:01 UTC on the same day, Feenstra highlighted his work during a House Agriculture Committee hearing: "Today, during a @HouseAgGOP hearing, I highlighted the many wins that we secured for Iowa agriculture in our historic package of tax cuts. I specifically led the charge to deliver additional death tax relief so that we can pass our family farms from one generation to the next."
Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th congressional district since replacing Steve King in 2021. Prior to serving in Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991.
