Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, posted a series of updates on social media this week addressing public safety in Washington, D.C., Constitution Day, and flood recovery efforts in Rock Valley.

On September 17, Feenstra commented on crime and safety concerns for visitors to the nation’s capital. He wrote, "When Iowans travel to our nation’s capital, they should feel safe walking the streets, visiting the monuments, and enjoying time with friends and family. It’s why I voted to codify President Trump’s work to fight crime, hold lawbreakers accountable, and make D.C. safe again."

The following day marked Constitution Day. On September 18, Feenstra posted: "Today is Constitution Day. We The People will continue this great American experiment in self government and always defend our cherished rights."

Later that morning, Feenstra addressed local disaster relief efforts after recent flooding in Rock Valley. He stated: "This morning, I convened a substantive meeting with Rock Valley city officials and representatives from FEMA. We discussed how we can continue to get critical relief to Rock Valley to support ongoing flood recovery efforts. I will be with Rock Valley every step of the way."

Feenstra has represented Iowa's 4th District since defeating former congressman Steve King in 2021; prior to his current role he served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 through 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991.
