Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared a series of posts on September 18, 2025, highlighting meetings with constituents and discussions on agricultural policy during their visits to Washington, D.C.
In one post from September 18, Feenstra wrote: "It was great to welcome my friends from Sheldon — Joel and Amy Bousema & their daughter Erica — to Washington, D.C. and give them a tour of the Capitol. I always enjoy seeing Iowans in our nation’s capital & showing them around. Our shared Iowa values guide my work in Congress."
Later that day, he posted about an interaction with Kelly Nieuwenhuis of Primghar: "It’s always a pleasure to chat with my friend from Primghar — Kelly Nieuwenhuis — who serves on the @NationalCorn Corn Board. We agreed we must pass a new Farm Bill and secure permanent, year-round access to #E15 to support our corn farmers and invest in our rural communities."
Feenstra also described meeting with FEMA before hosting visitors from Rock Valley at the Capitol: "After meeting with FEMA, I took some of the Rock Valley delegation onto the Speaker’s balcony. On a clear day like today, the view of the city and the Washington Monument is incredible. It’s always fun to show Iowans around the U.S. Capitol!"
Feenstra has represented Iowa's 4th District in Congress since succeeding Steve King in 2021. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Iowa Senate for over a decade (2009-2021). Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a bachelor's degree in 1991.
